ESSENTRICS is a dynamic full-body workout simultaneously combining stretching and strengthening. The muscles are lengthened while they are being strengthened, which de-compresses the joints, leading to maximum range of motion, pain relief and injury prevention. ESSENTRICS is a completely original program that draws on the flowing movements of tai chi, the strengthening techniques of ballet, and the healing principles of physiotherapy to create a healthy, balanced, strong, flexible, pain-free body. I am excited to be an ESSENTRICS apprentice (teacher in training) working towards my Level 1 Certification. Currently, I am teaching ESSENTRICS apprentice classes. The ESSENTRICS techniques, exercises and objectives take time to assimilate. I must practice explaining how to do the exercises, and modifying the strengthening demands and the pace to create varying levels of difficulty, and giving appropriate corrections while making the workout flow effortlessly. I appreciate the stringent requirements of this training program and and the abundant help that is available. I am confident that when I complete my training I will be well prepared. I look forward to sharing ESSENTRICS: Release, Rebalance & Restore with the Evansville area.
